The Legend Of The Lost Post

Heather and Juliette insist that the alcohol-fueled post I deleted was good, and Teresa has commented that she's feeling deprived that she missed it.

I want to encourage this as much as possible. Ahhh yes, the Great Lost Christmas Post. Rarely has such brilliant prose been conceived by mortal man. They say that reading it brought one a vision of heaven that made all earthly suffering seem insignificant. Sadly, it is no more. All one can do is continue to stop by this blog several times a day, because you never know when you may catch a fleeting glimpse of genius.

The Great Lost Christmas Post. Its flame burned too brightly to long endure. One might say its candle burned out long before its legend ever will...

My suggestion would be to drink heavily...then, we may see that post again.

Of course Drinking Heavily is my suggestion for World Peace, stirring the Economy, Marital Bliss, etc. ad nauseum...oh, and starting a blog.

I have a friend (ex-Marine, actually) who used to say "drink through it" whenever a friend would mention any situation, problem or no.

I think Matt's on the money here.

The problem is that you are a "deleter." There's no "undo" button in life, so you employ the "undo" button on the blog. Power seeker. And on another tangent, you can't even keep a decent troll around the place. You call yourself a blogger. Shame!

Guilty as charged. It's about the power. Often I sit at my computer, logged in to my blog, doing nothing. Staring at the screen. When the screen saver kicks in, I move the mouse a bit so it goes away. Even when I'm not posting, I know that I could spring into action at any time.

New post! New comment! Modified template!

You, there! You do not amuse me. Your IP address is banned! You're lucky I don't rewrite your comment into a poem about my genius!

Here I sit, drunk with power. It's the condition in which I do my best writing. It's when I become drunk with alcohol that the somewhat less-than-stellar posts come in. But even they give me another opportunity to exercise my power.

Entry deleted!

Look upon my blog, ye mighty, and despair!

Well, okay if drinking is the only way we're going to get a repeat of the post... Shall we all chip in and help Mr.Green get drunk?

That explains why oftimes the activity log shows Mr. Green log in and Mr. Green log out, but no Mr. Green posts entry # whatever....
