Goodness!

I actually have an active comment thread here. And I had over 50 visitors today for the first time. I feel like I should offer everybody something to drink...

Or at least (cough) decorate the place a bit.

Ooh, smackdown from Ms. Larson. I suggest a pale but masculine blue.

It wasn't a smackdown. I offered to help and have been waiting. And he's Mr. Green. Not Mr. Blue.

Well, kinda Mr. Blue after that game last night. But I digress.

Hi Mr. Green!

If you continue to cater to it, it will come back and back and back, like a picked-at wound without treatment. It will never accept what you say, regardless of how rational you are and how good your arguments. You've probably recongized that. Let it have the last word (albeit irrational) and assert your ideas/morals/beliefs/facts in a more creative way. I suggest you never defend yourself on your own blog. This is your space, your thoughts, your ideas. Your ballgame.

On another note, I really like what you're saying. You could do a series of economic posts with a similar theme to what you've put in your comments, and something very good will have come from this. Not all the readers check the comments of older posts to see if they've been updated. So lots of people have probably missed what you've said (another argument for a series of posts about economics).

Barbara Ehrenreich asserted in part two of the book that the living wage in MN should be something like $11.47 (and that that figure hadn't been appropriately adjusted to handle inflation of rental costs, or something like that. I'd need the book in front of me to know for sure). Wow, $11.47 an hour, regardless of what you do, supply and demand, all of that - out the window. Can you imagine? I shudder.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I agree with Jennifer; get a cool banner. Ted's launching his Munuvia rocket soon and you need a cool logo to be pasted on it!!
